This week’s feature is a free software program called Evernote:
1> What it is: A way of saving…well, anything. Webpages, photos, receipts, etc…
2> What it does: Organize everything and make it accessible from anywhere. Anything can be found easily because it’s searchable.
3> What it costs: Absolutely nothing. (Unless you want the Premium version with more advanced features.)
When you run across a great dessert recipe, simply save it to Evernote. When you take a picture of your adorable kid on your cellphone, save it to Evernote. Then three weeks later, when you’re looking for that pie recipe or trying to find that snapshot, all you have to do is go to Evernote, type in ‘Pie’ or ‘David’ and voila- there it is.
Evernote recognizes all text; even your handwriting! So you can search 6 months later, and find the note you scribbled on that receipt. How cool is that!
Here’s a video to show you how it works:
You can download the program for free and get more info at Evernote.com.
