“Good morning, class! My name is Pain, and I will be your teacher.
I know none of you wanted to take this class, but as you know, it’s required.
Every year, students like you go to great lengths to avoid this class. But if you don’t learn what I can teach you, you will have to keep coming back until you do.
To be perfectly honest, no one seems to like me as a teacher. But the funny thing is, every year I am voted the best educator. And while my students seem to hate me while they are learning from me, once they become alumni, they all speak highly of the lessons I taught them.
I know you dread me and my lessons. But I was placed here for a reason. And if you’ll listen to what I teach you, I can add great value to your life.
Let’s get started…”
“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” – Hebrews 12:11 (NIV)
