How Great Things Happen

I am constantly amazed by a simple principle: Great things happen a little bit at a time.\r\n

    \r\n

  • You can’t lose 52 pounds in a day (unless you amputate a leg). But you can lose 52 pounds in a year by losing one pound a week. Getting in great physical shape happens a little bit at a time.
  • \r\n

  • You can’t learn to speak Spanish in a day. But you can learn to speak Spanish in a year or two. Learning a language happens a little bit at a time.
  • \r\n

  • You can’t build a great church overnight. But you can build a great church over time. A truly great church grows, develops, and matures a little bit at a time.
  • \r\n

  • You can’t develop the proper knowledge of the Bible in one day. But you can memorize verses, study books, and saturate your soul with it a little bit at a time.
  • \r\n

  • You can’t develop a great prayer life overnight. But you can become a great person of prayer in the months ahead…a little bit at a time.

\r\nRome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was your body, your habits, or your character. They are a result of your daily routine.\r\n\r\nGreatness is a process. It happens a little bit at a time.\r\n\r\nWhat area do you need to begin to develop greatness in? You can comment here.
